Affiliate and referral program terms
Terms for Storyvalo’s referral and affiliate program: referrals, commission, holds, reversals, manual payouts and promotion rules.
The program
These terms apply in addition to the Storyvalo terms of service when you join the referral program (refer a friend) or the affiliate program. Joining is free and optional. You must be at least 18, have a verified Storyvalo account and, as an affiliate, be able to receive payments to the PayPal or Wise account you name. We may decline, pause or end participation, for example when we suspect abuse.
Referrals
A referral is a new Storyvalo account created in a browser that opened your referral link within the previous 60 days, accepted optional cookies in Storyvalo’s consent banner and did not send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. The first referral link opened in that browser counts. Existing accounts, your own accounts and accounts that use your sign-in or payout email address are not referrals. Each account can be referred only once.
Commission
Affiliates earn 30% of the net amount of each subscription invoice and one-time purchase that a referred customer pays through Storyvalo’s Stripe checkout during the 12 months after that customer’s first payment. Net means after taxes, refunds and chargebacks. Purchases billed through Shopify and payments in currencies other than US dollars do not earn commission. Commission is calculated in US dollars and rounded down to the cent.
Holds, reversals and payouts
Each commission is held for 30 days and then becomes payable. A refund or chargeback reverses the matching commission, also after it was paid; a reversal after a payout reduces your next payouts. Storyvalo pays payable balances of at least USD 20 manually, normally once a month, by PayPal or Wise to the payout email on file. Storyvalo never moves money automatically. You are responsible for fees your payment provider charges you and for your own taxes, and we may ask for tax or identity information before paying.
Refer-a-friend rewards
In the referral program, when a referred account makes its first paid purchase, the referred account and your account each receive 2 bonus export minutes once. Bonus minutes have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are removed if that purchase is fully refunded or charged back. A referral earns either bonus minutes or commission, not both, depending on your program when the referred account was created.
Promotion rules
Promote Storyvalo honestly. Do not make misleading claims about features, prices or results, send spam, bid on Storyvalo brand terms in paid search, use cookie stuffing, forced clicks or sign-up incentives, or present yourself as Storyvalo. Clearly and conspicuously disclose that you earn a commission or reward from Storyvalo in every post, video, email or page where you share your link, close to the link and before any call to action (for example “I earn a commission if you buy through this link” or #ad). Commission and rewards from referrals that break these rules are void.
Changes and ending
We may change or end the program by updating this page; changes apply to commission earned after they take effect. You can stop at any time. Deleting your account ends your participation and forfeits unpaid balances, so ask for a payout first. When the program ends, payable balances of at least USD 20 are paid.
