Storyvalo service terms, content responsibilities, purchased minutes, subscription allowances, cancellation and refund policy.
The service and your account
Storyvalo is operated by DATASCIENCEPRO LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we”, “us” or “our”). These terms are an agreement between you and DATASCIENCEPRO LLC and govern your use of Storyvalo. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for any business you represent. Keep your credentials secure and provide accurate account information. Contact info@storyvalo.com for support.
YouTube and other connected services
If you publish to YouTube through Storyvalo, Storyvalo uses YouTube API Services, and you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). The Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy) applies to Google’s handling of your information. Other optional connectors and providers, including publishing destinations, source connectors, automation services and generation providers, are used only when you or your workspace connect or use them, and your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. Connect only accounts and content you are authorized to use; you remain responsible for what you publish through them.
Your content and generated output
You retain rights you hold in your inputs. You give us permission to process those inputs and generated output as needed to provide, secure, and support the service, including through our service providers. To the extent permitted by law and applicable provider terms, you may use output generated for you, including commercially. We do not guarantee that output is unique, copyrightable, factually correct, or free of third-party rights. You remain responsible for permissions, claims, and publication decisions.
Stock media
Stock photos and footage are provided under the Pexels License and applicable provider terms. Retain contributor credits and review the license for your intended use. Do not sell or redistribute unaltered stock files, imply an endorsement, or use recognizable people in an offensive or misleading context. A stock license does not automatically clear every person, trademark or property depicted. Stock media illustrates a scene; it does not represent your actual product, staff or customer unless independently established. Email info@storyvalo.com about rights concerns.
Acceptable use and review
Do not upload unlawful content, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, impersonate people deceptively, create abusive or exploitative material, bypass access controls, or misuse the service. Only request reading of webpages you are permitted to use. Review scripts, sources, images, pronunciation, captions, and claims before publishing. Storyvalo combines your selected original images, optional licensed stock footage and photos, or AI-generated still illustrations with AI narration. Where enabled, optional generation providers can also prepare AI motion clips and stock presenters; that output is synthetic and does not record real events. Storyvalo does not promise exact AI reproduction of people and products. An original uploaded image can be placed directly in a scene without AI recreation.
AI-generated media, labels and realistic people
Storyvalo is designed to mark videos that contain AI-generated images, footage or speech as AI-generated in their file metadata, where available: the IPTC digital source type and, where Storyvalo holds a signing certificate, signed C2PA content credentials, so that platforms and viewers can recognise them. Some delivery paths keep only part of that marking (a copy prepared for Instagram delivery keeps the IPTC marking but not the C2PA signature), and platforms may remove metadata when you upload. Do not remove or alter that marking, and keep any provider watermark; you may additionally choose a visible “AI-generated” label when the option is available to your account. Because Storyvalo cannot verify consent, the Realistic (photographic) style is designed to depict fictional people only: it refuses real, identifiable people, including public figures, and news, bodycam, surveillance or war-footage styling with fake timestamps, tickers or station logos. Comply with the disclosure rules of each platform where you publish and with the laws that apply to you, including the EU Artificial Intelligence Act.
Plans, renewal, and allowances
The price, currency, applicable taxes, included minutes, included AI-generated images and AI drafting minutes, and renewal interval shown at checkout govern your purchase. Choose business or personal use accurately so checkout can apply the relevant product tax category. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. A plan change made through Manage subscription during a billing period is prorated: the charge or credit and the change to that period’s minutes both reflect the unused part of the billing period. One video minute means one minute of requested finished duration. Minutes are reserved when rendering starts. Monthly subscription minutes reset on a paid billing cycle and do not roll over. Monthly AI images reset with your monthly minutes on each paid billing cycle and do not roll over. Refunds and disputes reverse purchased AI images in proportion, as they do minutes. If we reduce an included allowance, we give at least 30 days’ notice and your current allowance continues for at least one more renewal. One-time minute packs do not renew automatically; purchased video minutes do not expire while your account remains open and are not reset or erased by subscription renewal or cancellation. Monthly minutes are used before purchased minutes. Without a subscription, videos can be up to three minutes each, subject to your available balance. Completed downloads are free; additional paid exports consume more minutes. When available for your verified account, the explicitly selected monthly free export is separate from paid minutes: one video of up to 60 seconds per UTC calendar month, at 720p with a Storyvalo watermark and standard media and voices. It requires no card and does not start a subscription. A system-caused failure restores the free allowance; accepted jobs continue if you close the browser and cannot be canceled after submission. Failed renders return their reserved minutes once. Monthly AI drafting minutes are separate and reset each calendar month. Each purchased video minute also adds AI drafting minutes, used after the monthly allowance: three in the One-minute and Three-minute packs, two in the Ten-minute pack. Those purchased drafting minutes do not reset monthly. Account deletion closes access to unused allowances; contact support about any refund request before deleting your account. Premium media credits are one-time purchases used only for optional prepared media. They do not expire while your account remains open, are separate from video minutes, and a payment refund or dispute reverses the corresponding credits. Failed or cancelled generations return their reserved credits.
Generation capacity and fair use
Each monthly plan includes a stated number of new AI-generated images per paid billing cycle: on storyvalo.com, Creator 72, Growth 180 and Studio 450; plans billed through Shopify include six per included minute until we announce a change in the app. The One-minute and Three-minute packs include eight new AI-generated images per purchased minute and the Ten-minute pack includes five per purchased minute; purchased images do not expire while your account remains open. A new AI image counts when it is generated for you, including when you regenerate a scene image or a changed scene needs a new one. Automatic quality re-draws that Storyvalo starts do not count. Stock media, your own uploads and media already in your library never count. A single export may use up to six new AI-generated images per finished minute, and at least eight per video, while your images last. If a storyboard needs more new AI images than you have left, the render is refused before any video minutes are used. Images generated for a render that fails stay in your library and are reused when you retry; images that were never generated are returned. Script drafts and manual claim checks use your monthly AI drafting minutes. Free monthly videos also depend on a service-wide monthly capacity. When it is used up, free videos open again the next calendar month and your free allowance is not consumed. Optional premium media is quoted in premium credits before you confirm each generation.
Closing card on free videos
Where Storyvalo’s sharing program is enabled for your account, your monthly free export also ends with a short “Made with Storyvalo · storyvalo.com” card drawn over the picture during its last two seconds. The Studio says so before you submit the free render. Paid exports never include this card.
Saved drafts and shared viewing
Manual project copies and format variants do not use video minutes; rendering a copy uses the selected eligible free or paid video allowance. Saved versions are limited to the latest 30 checkpoints per project and require the original media to remain available. Restoring or copying a draft resets its source-review approvals. Viewing links are unlisted, not confidential access controls: anyone holding a link may view or forward it, and a hidden download button does not prevent saving a playable video. Links expire after your selected 7, 30 or 90 days and can be revoked. Shared delivery is limited per calendar month: 10 GB without a subscription, 20 GB on Creator, 50 GB on Growth and 100 GB on Studio. Repeated or interrupted requests can count toward that allowance. A service-wide delivery safeguard and request limits may also temporarily restrict shared playback. We do not automatically bill overages. Your private completed downloads remain available independently of shared-playback limits.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancel renewal through Manage subscription in your workspace before the next renewal date. Access to the paid plan normally continues until the paid period ends. For a first paid subscription, request a refund within seven days if you have not completed any paid video exports. For an unused one-time pack, request a refund within seven days of purchase. Contact info@storyvalo.com so we can review usage and the applicable refund. Duplicate charges and verified billing errors will be corrected. Payment refunds or disputes reverse the corresponding purchased minutes, AI images and AI drafting minutes. If those minutes were already used, future purchases first offset that adjustment; subscription minutes are unaffected. If a paid service failure is not resolved, contact support so we can assess an appropriate credit or refund. Except where required by law or stated here, used allowances and partial billing periods are not automatically refundable. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. If you subscribe through the Shopify App Store, Shopify bills the plan every 30 days. The plan is priced in USD; Shopify determines applicable taxes and any currency conversion. Cancelling ends plan access as soon as Shopify confirms the cancellation, without an automatic refund; separately purchased export minutes and media credits remain. Availability and changes
Generation time and results depend on source access, provider limits, and service demand. We may suspend abusive accounts or restrict content that violates these terms, and may change the service. Material pricing changes will be disclosed before they apply to a renewal where required. Keep your own copies of important source files and completed videos. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, revenue, audience growth, or a particular business outcome.
Responsibility and disputes
The service is provided as available to the extent permitted by law. Neither party excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to applicable mandatory protections, our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid in the preceding 12 months or USD 100, and does not include indirect or consequential losses. Texas law governs except where mandatory law applicable to you provides otherwise. Contact info@storyvalo.com first so we can try to resolve a dispute. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive non-waivable consumer rights.
