Turn a slide deck into a narrated video
A deck without its presenter loses most of its meaning. Export your slides to PDF, upload them, and Storyvalo drafts narration that explains each section rather than reading bullet points aloud. Where a slide matters visually, show the page itself, unchanged.
Opens the studio with an editable presentation to video brief. Sign in or create a free account first; nothing is generated or charged until you continue.
A good fit when
- You have a deck that gets sent around without anyone presenting it.
- The slides carry enough text for the narration to work from.
- You want a video version for people who missed the meeting.
The closest real example
This business video combines an original workflow graphic with stock footage and an AI illustration, the kind of mixed visuals a narrated deck often needs.
Made by Storyvalo to demonstrate the product. Watch it with its source and script.
Presentation to video, step by step
Export to PDF
Export from PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides as PDF. Speaker notes help if your export includes them.
Upload and set the order
The starter follows the slide order and explains the point of each section. Name the audience in the brief.
Show key slides as they are
Use the PDF page option to show a chosen slide without AI recreation, and choose other visuals scene by scene.
Render and share
Render a 16:9 video, which matches most decks, with captions and a subtitle file.
Slides with little text
Image-heavy slides give the script writer little to work from. Add speaker notes to the export, or upload a short text file with what you would say for each section.
Fewer scenes than slides
Twenty slides do not need twenty scenes. Group slides by section; a one-minute video usually has four to six scenes.
Keep a narrator’s pace
A presenter pauses on important slides. Use custom scene timing to give the key slides more time, as long as the scene durations add up to the length you chose.
The starter brief
“Use this starter” fills in this brief in the studio. Edit any of it before you generate a storyboard.
Turn my uploaded slide deck (exported as PDF) into a narrated video. Follow the order of the slides, explain the point of each section rather than reading bullet points aloud, and close with the deck's main takeaway. Use only facts from my source. Do not invent statistics, prices, quotes, customer names or results.
Review before you publish
Storyvalo drafts the script and assembles the video; you decide what is accurate. Read every scene against its source, check names, numbers and claims, and only use material you have permission to use. Stock footage and AI illustrations are illustrative, and narration is AI-generated.
What it costs
One 60-second, watermarked 720p export per verified account each calendar month. It ends with a short “Made with Storyvalo” card over its last two seconds. Standard voices and still or stock media. No payment card, no automatic subscription. Paid exports stay 1080p without the Storyvalo watermark. A free account includes five minutes of AI script attempts each calendar month, an editable storyboard and an interactive preview, with no card. Rendering a narrated video uses video minutes: export one minute for $2.99 or three minutes for $7.99, plus applicable tax, without a subscription. Monthly plans suit regular production and longer videos. Compare plans and packs.
Questions
Can I upload a .pptx file?
Not directly. Export the deck to PDF first; Storyvalo accepts PDF, text, Markdown and image files.
Will my slide design be kept?
A slide you choose with the PDF page option appears as the page itself. Other scenes use the visuals you choose.
Can I narrate in my own voice?
Videos use AI narration. You can edit every word of the script and add pronunciation hints for names and terms.
