Turn a blog post into a narrated video
A good blog post already has a question, an argument and an ending. Storyvalo reads the post you link to, drafts a scene-by-scene script from it, and lets you check every line against the original before anything is rendered. The result is a new narrated video for people who will never read the full article, with a clear route back to it.
Opens the studio with an editable blog post to video brief. Sign in or create a free account first; nothing is generated or charged until you continue.
A good fit when
- You publish articles regularly and want each one to reach video viewers too.
- The post makes one clear point that fits into one to three minutes.
- You want the video to stay faithful to what the post actually says.
The closest real example
This vertical export started as an original article and turns its argument into four narrated scenes with a single next step, the same shape a blog post video usually needs.
Fictional demonstration: the brand, source and scenario were invented for this example. It is not a customer testimonial or evidence of business results. Watch it with its source and script.
Blog post to video, step by step
Paste the post link
Choose Specific links and paste the post URL. Add up to eight links if a related post or product page should inform the script. Pages behind a login or that block automated reading can be pasted as text or uploaded instead.
Tell it who the video is for
The starter brief asks for a video for readers who have not seen the article. Edit it to name your audience and the action you want, such as reading the post or booking a demo.
Edit the storyboard
Read each scene beside its source link. Cut sentences that only work in writing, such as “as mentioned above”, and keep the post’s strongest example in the narration.
Render and link back
Choose a visual for each scene, render a 1080p MP4 with a subtitle file, and publish it with a link to the full post so viewers can go deeper.
Pick one post, not a whole blog
A video works best when it carries one idea. A listicle with fifteen tips becomes a better video if you choose the three most useful ones and say where the rest are. Long guides can become a short series: one video per section, each pointing to the same article.
Rewrite for the ear
Written posts lean on headings, bullet points and links. Narration needs short sentences and spoken transitions. Expect to edit the draft lightly so it sounds natural aloud, and use captions for the names, numbers or terms viewers might want to read.
The starter brief
“Use this starter” fills in this brief in the studio. Edit any of it before you generate a storyboard.
Turn my blog post into a one-minute narrated video for readers who have not seen the article. Open with the question the post answers, explain its two or three main points in plain language, and end by inviting viewers to read the full post. Use only facts from my source. Do not invent statistics, prices, quotes, customer names or results.
Review before you publish
Storyvalo drafts the script and assembles the video; you decide what is accurate. Read every scene against its source, check names, numbers and claims, and only use material you have permission to use. Stock footage and AI illustrations are illustrative, and narration is AI-generated.
What it costs
One 60-second, watermarked 720p export per verified account each calendar month. It ends with a short “Made with Storyvalo” card over its last two seconds. Standard voices and still or stock media. No payment card, no automatic subscription. Paid exports stay 1080p without the Storyvalo watermark. A free account includes five minutes of AI script attempts each calendar month, an editable storyboard and an interactive preview, with no card. Rendering a narrated video uses video minutes: export one minute for $2.99 or three minutes for $7.99, plus applicable tax, without a subscription. Monthly plans suit regular production and longer videos. Compare plans and packs.
Questions
Can I paste text instead of a URL?
Yes. If the post is not yet published, or the site blocks automated reading, choose Upload and add the post as a text, Markdown or PDF file, or describe it in Your idea.
Will the video copy my post word for word?
No. The script summarises the post into spoken scenes. You can edit any scene, including pasting exact sentences you want kept.
Does it work with WordPress, Ghost or Medium posts?
Any public page that loads its text without a login usually works. Some platforms load content with scripts or limit automated access; if a page cannot be read, upload or paste the text instead.
