Turn a Notion page into a narrated explainer
Wikis and project pages in Notion explain how things work, but newcomers rarely read them end to end. Export the page as Markdown or PDF, upload it, and Storyvalo drafts a short explainer that walks through its main sections in order and points back to the page.
Opens the studio with an editable notion page to video brief. Sign in or create a free account first; nothing is generated or charged until you continue.
A good fit when
- A Notion page is the source of truth for a topic.
- New team members or customers need an introduction to it.
- The page has headings that give it a clear structure.
The closest real example
This calm, step-by-step export came from a fictional help article, a close match for a knowledge page written in Notion.
Fictional demonstration: the brand, source and scenario were invented for this example. It is not a customer testimonial or evidence of business results. Watch it with its source and script.
Notion page to video, step by step
Export the page
In Notion, use Export and choose Markdown or PDF. Markdown keeps headings cleanly; PDF lets you show a page visually.
Upload the export
Upload the .md or .pdf file. If the export is a zip file, unzip it and upload the page file itself.
Skip the internal parts
The starter leaves out to-dos and comments. Tell it about any other section to skip, such as meeting notes.
Review and render
Check section names and terms in each scene, then render with captions.
Public Notion pages
Public Notion pages load their content with scripts, which automated reading may not capture fully. Exporting is the reliable route, and it lets you remove anything private first.
Databases and tables
Large tables do not translate well into narration. Summarise what the table is for in the brief, and show a screenshot if viewers need to see it.
Name the owner
End the video with who maintains the page. Newcomers who have questions after watching should know whom to ask, not only where the page lives.
The starter brief
“Use this starter” fills in this brief in the studio. Edit any of it before you generate a storyboard.
Turn the uploaded Notion export into a short explainer for someone new to this topic. Explain what the page covers, walk through its main sections in order, and end with where the full page lives. Skip internal to-do items and comments. Use only facts from my source. Do not invent statistics, prices, quotes, customer names or results.
Review before you publish
Storyvalo drafts the script and assembles the video; you decide what is accurate. Read every scene against its source, check names, numbers and claims, and only use material you have permission to use. Stock footage and AI illustrations are illustrative, and narration is AI-generated.
What it costs
One 60-second, watermarked 720p export per verified account each calendar month. It ends with a short “Made with Storyvalo” card over its last two seconds. Standard voices and still or stock media. No payment card, no automatic subscription. Paid exports stay 1080p without the Storyvalo watermark. A free account includes five minutes of AI script attempts each calendar month, an editable storyboard and an interactive preview, with no card. Rendering a narrated video uses video minutes: export one minute for $2.99 or three minutes for $7.99, plus applicable tax, without a subscription. Monthly plans suit regular production and longer videos. Compare plans and packs.
Questions
Can I paste a Notion link?
You can try, but pages that load content with scripts may not be readable. Exporting to Markdown or PDF works consistently.
Which file types are accepted?
PDF, plain text and Markdown for text, and PNG, JPG or WebP for images.
Can I combine several pages?
Upload up to five files in one project. For a series, create one video per page.
